【摘要】:Thisguidecoversthedeterminationofavessel'slightshipcharacteristics.Thestabilitytestcanbeconsideredtobetwoseparatetasks;thelightweightsurveyandtheincliningexperiment.Thestabilitytestisrequiredformostvesselsupontheircompletionandaftermajorconversions.Itisnormallyconductedinshoreincalmweatherconditionsandusuallyrequiresthevesselbetakenoutofservicetoprepareforandconductthestabilitytest.Thethreelightshipcharacteristicsdeterminedfromthestabilitytestforconventional(symmetrical)shipsaredisplacement("displ"),longitudinalcenterofgravity("LCG"),andtheverticalcenterofgravity("KG").Thetransversecenterofgravity("TCG")mayalsobedeterminedformobileoffshoredrillingunits(MODUs)andothervesselswhichareasymmetricalaboutthecenterlineorwhoseinternalarrangementoroutfittingissuchthataninherentlistmaydevelopfromoff-centerweight.Becauseoftheirnature,otherspecialconsiderationsnotspecificallyaddressedinthisguidemaybenecessaryforsomeMODUs.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
