Scope: Bumpers and bumper mountings used as supporting members when a vehicle is lifted with a jack should meet minimum requirements using a specific test procedure. For this specification, a fully loaded vehicle includes curb weight, optional equipment, weight at 150 lb each for specified number of passengers, and a 150 lb load in the trunk. Vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating will be loaded to the maximum specified gross vehicle weight.
